Biographical history

Etta Mildred McInnis (26 June 1909-26 July 1991) was the daughter of "Angus" Neil McInnis (1886-1955) and Ettie "Pearl" Cudmore (1888-1962) of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Her siblings were Ernest "Elmer" (1907-1908), James "Ivan" (1906-1948), and "Elsie" Elene (1912-1973). Mildred married William Virtue (1901-1968). She died in 1991 and was buried at the People's Protestant Cemetery in Charlottetown.

Scope and content

This fonds consists of thirteen school certificates and diplomas belonging to Mildred McInnis. The fonds includes nine Board of School Trustees of Charlottetown certificates for punctual and regular attendance for grades one to seven (1916-1922) and grades nine and ten (1924-1925). There are two diplomas awarded for grades one and two (1916 -1917) by the Charlottetown Public Schools. Also included in the fonds are a Charlottetown Business College and Institute of Shorthand Typewriting certificate (1925) and a diploma for completion of the program (1927).
