Biographical history
Laura Mair is a freelance writer and environmentalist. As well as teaching journalism at Holland College in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, she was instrumental in the creation of the PEI Press Club and served in several environmental organizations.

Scope and content
The fonds contains papers of the PEI Press Club including membership lists, by-laws, an issue of the newsletter Mediacre and correspondence and photographs re. the Gordon L. Bennett Award for Investigative Journalism, 1978-1980. There is a copy of the first and only issue of the PEI magazine Profiles (1988) with accompanying advertising materials; a copy of Axiom (May 1976) which published an article by Laura Mair on the Ark project at Spry Point; and a copy of the last issue of the Charlottetown monthly magazine(Nov./Dec. 1985). The fonds also contains a media itinerary booklet for the visit of HRH Prince Edward in 1987.
