Scope and content
This series consists of 6 docket books which list the calendar of causes tried during a specified term of the court. The volumes contain such information as the case number, plaintiff's and defendant's names, the amount sued for, the cause of the action, and the court fees charged in each case. The dockets books are arranged chronologically and by circuit. Volume 2 begins as a record of the 4th circuit but changes to the 5th circuit on 20 August 1878. The remainder of the volumes are for the fifth circuit. Also included in the series is one file containing trial dockets and notes kept by J. W. Lavers, Clerk of the County Court, and covers the years 1964-1965.
