Information sessions will be held in May to help Islanders better understand their property tax bills, says Finance and Municipal Affairs Minister Wes Sheridan.

“At the sessions, property owners can meet one-on-one with a staff member from the Taxation and Property Records office to discuss their 2011 property tax bill,” said the minister. “Islanders who attended the sessions last year had their questions addressed, and we are pleased to provide the same level of service again this year.”

The public information sessions will be held across the province from May 10 to 19. People can drop in anytime between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the following locations:

• Charlottetown, May 10, Rodd Royalty Inn

• Summerside, May 11, Loyalist Inn

• Montague, May 12, Access PEI

• Souris, May 17, Access PEI

• Tignish, May 18, Access PEI

• O’Leary, May 19, Access PEI

For more information on the information sessions, check your local newspaper, call 902 368 4070, or visit www.taxandland.pe.ca.
