Doug Currie, MLA Charlottetown - Parkdale, and Minister of Social Services and Seniors, met with Greg Peters and David MacCallum, executive members from the Pat and the Elephant Board of Directors. Pat and the Elephant has seen some major changes this year, thanks in part to the yearly operational grant provided by the Department of Social Services and Seniors, and the capital funding to purchase two new buses received from Minister Carolyn Bertram and the Department of Communities, Cultural Affairs and Labour. Pat and the Elephant has a fleet of six mobility buses, which is used to transport Islanders with disabilities around the Greater Charlottetown Area.
