"To my delight and surprise, I recently learned that my PEI photograph entry has been selected to be in the 2010 calendar," said Mr. Dickason. "We still have fond memories of our visit - and from time to time we revisit our photographs to remind us of the period we spent there."

Now the calendar contest has entered a new phase - "vote for your favourite photo." At the website for MyWestworld (the BCAA travel magazine), they have posted the 13 photos, and they are encouraging visitors to the site to vote for their favourite. The "winner" will be the cover photo, and there will be an article about the photographer and the photo in a later edition of MyWestworld.

"I encourage all Islanders to vote for Mr. Dickason’s PEI photograph to assist in his campaign to have his photograph on the cover," said Tourism Minister, Valerie E. Docherty. "To have this beautiful PEI photo on the front page of the calendar, and the subsequent article in MyWestworld would be wonderful exposure for PEI."

The link to the site is www.mywestworld.com. From there, click on "vote your favorite" - choose the cover shot of the BCAA’s 2010 calendar link. There you can view a slide show of all 13 photos - then go to the voting process. The deadline for votes is August 15, and only one vote per computer can be tendered.
