Minister Announces Appointments to PEI Social Work Registration Board
Social Services and Seniors
Hon. Chester Gillan, Minister of Social Services and Seniors is pleased to announce that Marie MacDonald, MSM RSW, and Mary Arsenault, BN RN, of Charlottetown have been appointed to the PEI Social Work Registration Board. MacDonald has been appointed as a member of the profession in good standing and Arsenault as a public representative.
Other members of the PEI Social Work Registration Board include Frank MacAulay, MSW RSW; Janet M MacDonald, BSW RSW; and Teresa Kinnear, MSW RSW. Phil Matusiewicz, MSM RSW, is the PEI registrar.
The role of the PEI Social Work Registration Board is to protect the public interest and ensure that individuals using the title “registered social worker” or the designation “RSW” are registered and have the appropriate education and training.
The Minister of Social Services and Seniors is responsible for the Social Work Act.
