Test Your Financial IQ Contest Winner Announced
Office of the Attorney General
The “Test Your Financial IQ” contest is held annually for young Canadians aged 15 - 21 as an on-line contest on budgeting, saving and investing. This year the online competition featured questions and information on budgeting, saving and investing. Participants were encouraged to learn about financial matters and answer questions using hyperlink to useful sites. As well, teachers were encouraged to use online “Test Your Financial IQ” information to assist in classroom activities.
“More than 21,000 young Canadians took part in the contest this year, and Prince Edward Island had a very high participation rate,” noted Attorney General Mildred Dover. “This demonstrated, once again, that young Canadians are interested in becoming more knowledgeable about savings and investments.”
“I look forward to another edition of the CSA contest next year,” the Minister added.
The CSA, the council of the securities regulators of Canada's provinces and territories, co-ordinates and harmonizes regulation for the Canadian capital markets.
