Minister Currie to Host Students from Cardigan School at ATC's Interactive Theatre

Development and Technology

Development and Technology Minister Mike Currie will play host to grade eight students from Cardigan Consolidated School as they visit the InterACTIVE Theatre at the Atlantic Technology Centre.

While at the ATC, the students will see two interactive productions: Sharks and Vital Space. Both productions allow viewers to interact with the show as it plays on the screen.

“This is a great chance for these young people to see, first hand, the possibilities technology can offer,” said Minister Currie. “Part of the mandate of the ATC is to inspire creative thinking, and this visit will give the students a chance to think about how they might use this type of technology in their own lives or careers.”

During the students’ visit, the Minister will also present awards to those students who have shown an interest in information technology activities, both in and out of school.

The visit of the Cardigan students will kick off a busy summer for the InterACTIVE Theatre. During the months of July and August, it will be open on July 7 and will be open Tuesday through Saturday throughout the summer. Show times are:
