Trail Permits Now Available at Access PEI

Development and Technology

Trail permits for snowmobilers are now available at Access PEI locations across the province. The permits are required before snowmobiles are allowed to use the Confederation Trail.

In announcing the availability of the permits, Development and Technology Minister Mike Currie noted, "We recognize the important role snowmobilers play in supporting winter sport in the province and in generating economic activity. I am pleased to offer this service as a gesture of support for those activities."

Snowmobilers may already register their machines at Access PEI sites. The availability of trail permits at Access PEI will be a convenient way for people to acquire all the necessary permits at one location.

There are 13 Access PEI sites across the province. Access PEI sites in North Rustico, Crapaud, and Stratford are each open one evening a week; Stratford, Crapaud and Morell are open on Saturday mornings. For the hours and the location of the nearest Access PEI site, go to www.gov.pe/accesspei.
