Confirmed 6 May 1947 on c. 4405 at 46 08 - 62 57.Status changed to Locality in 1960 Gazetteer.Application of Earnscliffe (Sett.) was altered 14 September 1966 on 11L/2 to 46 09 - 62 57.Status changed to Locality 23 October 1989 on 203-8. Named after Earnscliffe, residence of Sir John A. Macdonald during the later years of his life. - PN of PEI, 1925.
