Harper (Sett.) was adopted in Place Names of PEI, 1925.Changed to Harpers (Sett.) 3 December 1946 on 21I/16.Changed to Harper (Sta.) 5 may 1960 on 21I/16.Status changed to Locality 23 October 1989 on 203-8. Named after William Harper, an early settler.
