History of the Name

The official history of the geographic name East Royalty (which can be somewhat technical, we admit):

East Royalty (Sett.) was adopted 12 December 1939 on 11L/6.Status changed to L ocality in 1960 Gazetteer.Incorporated as a Community in 1976.Status changed to Locality when East Royalty became part of the City of Charlottetown on 1 Apr il 1995.
