History of the Name

The official history of the geographic name Bloomfield Provincial Park (which can be somewhat technical, we admit):

Bloomfield Provincial Park was opened in 1960 and designated 15 March 1967. Changed to Vanier Provincial Park 8 January 1971 on 21I/9. Reinstated as Bloomfield Provincial Park 12 December 1989 on 203-8. The park is 4.69 ha.
