Buckerfield, William Henry
Biographical history
William Henry Buckerfield was the School Visitor for the western section of Prince Edward Island in the 1860s. This involved inspecting and reporting on the public schools for the Provincial Government. He was also on the Board of Health, was one of nineteen Principal Public Officers in 1864, and according to the 1880 Meacham's Atlas was an Attorney at Law in Alberton.

The fonds consists of one volume containing three lectures which Buckerfield states in the introduction were meant to "...to promote the study of History, especially in connection with the Old Testament...". Previous to publication, these lectures had been delivered at several locations in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
