History
William L. Taylor was born in Rock Island, Texas, United States of America, to Albert Taylor and Mabel Thompson. He moved to Prince Edward Island at the age of 14. William served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. Following the War, he returned to PEI and worked with Island Motor Transport. William joined the "Guardian" newspaper as a photographer in the 1950s. He worked as the chief photographer with the "Guardian" until his retirement in the early 1970s. William Tayor died 19 February 1987 at the age of 72 at his residence at 18 Donwood Drive, Parkdale, and was interred at the Mount Stewart People’s Cemetery, Mount Stewart, PEI.
