Biographical history
Roland G. Taylor was born on 25 September 1916, the son of Reginald and Elizabeth Taylor of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. He married Marion Geldert (b. 15 June 1920) of Morell in June 1942. They had three sons (Richard, Dennis, Gregory) and two daughters (Marsha, Leah-Jane), and the family lived in Charlottetown, first on Ambrose Street and later on Waverly Court. In 1946 Roland and his brother Earl took over the family business in Charlottetown, Taylors Jewellers, which had been opened in 1879 by their grandfather as G. H. Taylor's. Roland was an avid gardener and photographer and one of the founders of the Charlottetown Camera Club. Roland and Marion later resided in Clyde River. They both died in a car accident at Emyvale on 26 August 1984.

LePage), the interior of Taylor's jewellery store, members of the Alpha Y's Men's Club (1953 or 54), Government Pond, and of the Chan, Sing and Hoe families. The collection also contains a prescription envelope from J. Ernest H. Worth drug store in Charlottetown.
