The Publicity Agent for Prince Edward Island, J. E. B. McCready, worked for the Publicity Agency/Information Bureau compiling and diseminating information about Prince Edward Island for promotional purposes. The government agency printed and distributed information in regard to hotels, boarding houses, farms for sale, the fox industry and opportunities for investment in the province. J. E. B. McCready, a native of Sussex, New Brunswick, was a former editor of the Charlottetown Guardian newspaper. The Publicity Agency operated from at least 1912-1925.
