Scope and content
This collection contains 16 mm films whose subject matter involves people, places, events, or activities in Prince Edward Island. These include series of films about Lucy Maud Montgomery and Don Messer, coverage of royal visits of H.M. Queen Elizabeth, coverage of the 1964 curling championship held in Chrlottetown, tourism promotion description and travel films, and films re. out-migration from the Island and the Comprehensive Development Plan. These films were made by the National Film Board, by individual Islanders or groups, or by the media in the coverage of current events.
