Scope and content

This series consists of portraits of people taken individually or in groups, in formal and informal settings. Many are studio portraits which were probably taken at the Cloud Hill Studio on Queen Street. The informal portraits were taken on picnics, excursions, camping trips and bicycle outings. Their settings include shore scenes, campsites, and hotels which illustrate the amenities of a burgeoning tourism industry.
