History
John Pond was born in Surrey, England. He emigrated to American in the late 1870s and moved to Prince Edward Island with his wife Ann in 1896. Both he and his wife were journalists and John was for some years the editor of the Summerside newspaper The Pioneer. He died on 31 May 1930.
