Scope and content

Series consists of images recording the construction of the Hillsborough Bridge from the building of the piers, through the reassembling and positioning of the steel spanwork, to the finished bridge. It provides a detailed visual account of this hitherto little documented fragment of Island history. Also included are several photographs of trains in snow and one of the Alberton train station.
