Scope and content
The subseries includes 43 loose photographs (ca. 1872 to 1945, n.d.) of family members and exterior shots of ancestral homes in Scotland (including “Borrodale House”, “Rhu”, and “Dalilea”). Photographs of Temple W. F. Macdonald during World War I and photographs of his grave in France can be found in both the albums and loose photographs. The series also contains one ambrotype of “Dalilea” with a group of men and women outside the home (ca. 1860s?), three undated negatives, and one colour postcard showing a view of Georgetown dock and harbour, ca. 1910.
