Alfred and Mabel (Gavin) O'Brien lived in Elmsdale, Prince Edward Island. They had three children; Earl, Edna, and Alfreda. Edna and Alfreda were school teachers and taught in various schools in Prince County in the 1950s. Both were killed when the car they were travelling in was hit by a train on Belvedere Ave. in Charlottetown on 15 July 1959.
