Bradford W. LePage was born in Rusticoville, Prince Edward Island on 19 February 1876, son of Christopher LePage and Sara Millicent Woolner. He married Harriet Edna Christie in 1898. The couple had two children, William Reuel and Hilda Ruth. Bradford operated a mercantile business in Rustico and managed the first Fisherman's Cooperative before moving to Charlottetown and setting up LePage Shoe Company Ltd. He served several terms in the Legislative Assembly as the Liberal member for 2nd Queens and was appointed Lieutenant-Governor in 1939, a post he held until 1945. He died on 4 December 1958.
