Custodial history
Scope and content
The fonds consists of four minute books of the Ladies Aid of the Prince County Hospital from 1956 to 1960, and 1966 to 1977. These minute books document the monthly meetings of the Ladies Aid, reports of various committees, financial statements, as well as the work undertaken by the group to raise funds for the Prince County Hospital. The minutes relay the various fundraising events undertaken by the Ladies Aid and the direction that the money earned at these events took towards repairs and improvements of the hospital. The minutes also contain references to "Our Island Story," relayed by Ladies Aid Society members over CFCY Radio in the 1970s.
