Biographical history
Hugh Allister Macdonald, son of Archibald J. Macdonald (1834-1917) and Marion Murphy (1947-1921), was born 28 March 1878 in Georgetown, Prince Edward Island. He married Catherine Elizabeth "Bessie" McPhee (25 December 1879 - 25 March 1968) on 26 June 1904 in Georgetown. The couple had thirteen children: Agnes Marion, Colin Archibald, Helen Cecelia May, Beatrice Jean, Bernadette Grace, Hugh Allister, Dorothy Catherine, Peter Alexander John, Kathleen Gladys, Temple William, Constance Elizabeth, Howard Glengyle, and Aletha Mary. Hugh died on 16 March 1961 in Georgetown.
