Custodial history
Scope and content
The fonds consists of two photographs of the grade 5 classroom and students in the classes of Ms. Bessie Prowse and Ms. Christine MacMillan at West Kent School in February, 1930. The majority of the students are identified. The cornerstone for the second West Kent School was laid in April of 1878 on the north side of West Kent below Rochford, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. It functioned as an elementary school at this location until plans for the new Public Administration Building late in the 1950's necessitated the building of a new school which opened its doors in January 1963.
