History

Glenaladale school district covered the Southern part of Blooming Point and Tracadie Cross. It was originally one of the seven divisions of the estates of Captain John MacDonald. The school first appears in the School Visitor's reports in 1856. A new school was built in 1899 which was described as "spacious, well-lighted and well-ventilated".
