This subseries consists of 15 day books kept by the Provincial Treasurer or the Provincial Secretary-Treasurer between approximately 1830 and 1877. These volumes include a daily record of expenditures of the colonial and later provincial government. Information documented includes date, name of person(s) involved in transaction, reason for transaction, and amount. In some volumes at least, entries are marked "entered", presumably in the Journals which contain the same information but in a much more legible and formal manner. Also included are references to the Ledgers. Some of the volumes are marked "Blotter" on cover.
