History
Crosby's Mill was one of many independent small mills which operated in Prince Edward Island in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It was in existence at Bonshaw as early as 1841, owned and operated by Andrew C. Crosby. The complex included at various times carding, shingle, saw, and grist mills. For a brief period of time it was even used to generate electricity for a few surrounding residences.
