History

Farquhar Campbell and his family appear in Lot 54, Prince Edward Island as early as the 1798 census. In 1803 and 1813 Farquhar Campbell purchased 730 acres (365 acres each time) of land in Lot 54 from Edmund Fanning who had previously acquired the land from Captain Alexander Fletcher. Farquhar's descendents continued to live on this land in Cardigan River until late in the 20th century.
