Historique
The Congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Canada at Caledonia, Prince Edward Island, was organized on 10 September 1888 separating itself from both Valleyfield and Woodville (Wood Islands). In the same year the congregation acquired land for a manse and cemetery. An Act to Incorporate the Trustees of the Presbyterian Church of Caledonia was assented to on 7 May 1890. Between 1930 and 1934 Caledonia shared the services of their minister with Murray Harbour South at the latter's request. Due to the financial difficulties of the depression, in 1932 they also began sharing ministerial services with Wood Islands. In 1943 Caledonia, Wood Islands and Murray Harbour North formed a pastoral charge. The congregation of the Caledonia Church was drawn from the communities of Caledonia, Glen William, Pleasant Valley, Dover, Rona, Middleton, Brooklyn, St. Mary's Road, etc.
