History
The Brooklyn Women's Institute was organized by a group of local women in Brooklyn, Prince Edward Island on 31 July 1940. The first president was Mrs. Simon Campbell. The Institute focused its energy on the local school as well as visiting the sick in the community. The Institute also supported the war effort, Red Cross, and Kinsmen Club.
