Historique
In the early 1890s evangelistic services were held in Bonshaw, Prince Edward Island, by Rev. R. F. Davison, who was pastor in the Baptist charge of North River. Following this, services were held in the court house until the decision was made to organize a Baptist Church in Bonshaw to minister to the faithful in nearby areas such as Argyle Shore, Emyvale, and Appin Road as well as to Bonshaw residents. In 1893 the building of the church commenced on land given by C. W. Crosby. It opened in December of that year. Bonshaw remained part of the North River circuit for a number of years until it was invited into the Tryon circuit.
