Fox rancher Simon Jordan of Murray Harbour (1889-1935) was Elliot Lumsden's first cousin. Lumsden's fox breeding company was called the Orchard Black Silver and Cross Fox Ranching Co. Ltd. 1896 marked the beginning of the fox industry on P.E.I. which rapidly expanded to nearly 300 ranches by 1914. |
