Harris Memorial Library, Guardian, 19 December 1962

To make way for the new memorial to the Fathers of Confederation, the Harris Memorial Library and Art Gallery was demolished in December 1962. In the interim, the library collection was moved to the former Queens Square School on the corner of Richmond and Great George Streets. Queens Square School housed the library from August 1962 until the Confederation Centre Public Library opened on 11 June 1965.
