Along with maintaining reference and circulating collections of materials, and providing reference assistance, library staff are engaged in public programming to encourage use and awareness of the library. Book Week is held annually as a means of promoting reading for children and adults. Each year special events are planned for the public including readings by authors, lecture series, book discussion groups, summer reading programs, story times, children's programming, homework assistance/clubs, etc.
