| John Sutherland Bonnell (1893-1992) was born in Dover, P.E.I. After serving in World War I, Bonnell resumed his studies and was ordained as a minister in 1922. After ministering in New Brunswick and Manitoba for several years, Bonnell served as pastor of New York City''s Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church from 1935-1962. Bonnell was a pioneer in the field of pastoral psychiatry and published extensively in the area.
