Point Prim Lighthouse

The lighthouse at Point Prim is one of the oldest lighthouse sites on the Island. This lighthouse was renovated in July 2017.

Original Charlottetown Camera Club 1967 description:
"Point Prim Lighthouse. Built in 1846, P.E.I.'s oldest lighthouse maintains its lonely vigil at the southeastern point of Hillsborough Bay… Go to Victoria Park, Charlottetown, look out through the harbour entrance and away across the Hillsborough Bay - there it stands, as it has stood for nearly a century and a quarter, its white tower gleaming in the sunlight or its cheery light shining through the darkness."
