Original Charlottetown Camera Club 1967 description:
"Beautiful Colonial Government House was built in the early 1830's [sic] by Contractors Isaac Smith, Henry Smith, [and] Nathan Wright. Governor Sir Aretas Young was the first official occupant when he moved in on June 1835, on his return trip from England."
