The first airplane flight over Prince Edward Island took place at the Exhibition Grounds in Charlottetown, 1912.
Original Charlottetown Camera Club 1967 description:
"In 1912 the first plane flew over the Island and thrilled the Exhibition patrons. Dr. Jack Jenkins had a small Airfield at Upton Farm in 1931. Shortly after this Carl F. Burke bought a De Haviland Circus Moth in which he flew passengers across the Strait. In 1963 it was purchased by Eastern Provincial Airways." | | Next>>> | | Previous<<< |
