In 2017 golfing continues to be a popular sport for Islanders and a draw for many visitors.

Original Charlottetown Camera Club 1967 description:
"Air view of the eighteenth hole at the Belvedere Gold Club. The 'Charlottetown Golf Club' was formed in 1893 with Justice Fitzgerald, President, and Dr E. S. Blanchard, Secretary-Treasurer. The Links were part of the Belvedere property owned by the Beazeley Estate near Falconwood and leased to the Club. In 1907, they incorporated it under the name 'The Belvedere Golf Club.'"
