Exterior and interior photographs of the soon-to-be Confederation Centre Library in 1964. The Public Archives was originally stored in the basement of the complex.
 
"The Public Archives of Prince Edward Island look forward to occupying facilities in the recently completed Fathers of Confederation Memorial Building. The facilities originally designed for the archives have been delegated to the Gallery and Museum, leaving an unfinished basement area for the archives!" (Canadian Archivist, 1965)
