To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the 1864 Charlottetown Conference, the Public Archives is pleased to present "This Week in 1864". All year long, we will bring you highlights and headlines from the local newspapers, as well as items of a more personal and everyday nature from diaries, daybooks, and other items in our collection. “This Week in 1864” is available on our website at www.gov.pe.ca/archives/ThisWeek1864. This exhibit highlights some of our favourites from the year.

We hope you'll enjoy this glimpse into Island life in 1864.
