Tennis house and courts

Members of the Micmac and Fitzroy Tennis Clubs amalgamated with the newly formed Charlottetown Lawn Tennis Club in 1889. Members enjoyed playing on the lawns of Government House, Victoria Park, Beaconsfield and private residences. Victoria Park was later adopted as the Club's home courts which hosted many local and regional tournaments. Members were active in organizing socials and entertainment to raise funds for the upkeep of the tennis courts and buildings until the Club disbanded in the late 1950s.
