Community Theatre in Prince Edward Island

The community hall was the centre of social life and entertainment activities in rural Prince Edward Island. The production of a play or community concert was an enjoyable way to pass the long winter evenings, socialize with neighbours and raise funds for the upkeep of the hall. Anyone and everyone could help - as actors, set builders, costumers, ticket sellers or by providing refreshments.
