St. James tea meeting, Georgetown, July 1, 1905 |
|
An interesting view of Georgetown during the St. James Roman Catholic church tea party. Note the wooden horse-drawn swing, visible in the centre of the field in front of the courthouse, and the arbours and tents for the seating areas. Annual tea parties were a good opportunity for the whole community and other visitors to come together regardless of religious denomination. | Next>>> | Previous<<< |
