The tourist potential of the rail line was not long in being noticed. With connections through Maine and New Brunswick to the summer steamers, Boston was only a day or so away from any part of the Island. Early tourist literature featured the rail accessability. This photo, probably in the Alberton area, is from an Intercolonial Railway publication titled Summer Provinces by the Sea.
