Prince of Wales College, ca. 1919

The new Prince of Wales College building was completed in 1900 under architect C. B. Chappell. The school was a junior college which offered the final two years of high school, the first two years of university, and the Normal School for training teachers. The Normal School of Charlottetown amalgamated with Prince of Wales College in 1879. Prince of Wales College was known for having an excellent reputation as a Canadian educational institution.
